THE WORKAROUND POSTED BY "DND" WORKS. Just "Forward" the invitation to the person you want to add. It will be sent only to that person and nobody else. You will also notice that this new person has now been added automatically to your Attendee list.

Me too, I make sure the box that says "send only to added attendees" is checked and hit send yet it still sends to all attendees. No one knows how to fix it.

A work around that has been working for me is to simply forward the meeting invite to the person you want to add to the list. If you go to calendar view, right click on the meeting you want the person to attend, and click "Forward," you can then put just that individual person's name down and hit send. This does not re-send out the invite to everyone on the meeting, but it does get that person the meeting invite and it adds that person's name to your invitee list under "To...". Hope that helps!

Step 5 doesn't appear for me or my colleagues either. My job predominantly involved calendar management and not having the ability to add members without sending it to everyone, makes me look unprofessional. I can't find anything to fix this online.

This does not work for the new Outlook version which is frustrating - it needs to be added back! The only way I have been able to work around this is to forward the meeting to the new attendees so that not everyone receives an update.

PLEASE add that feature back to allow to send the update to newly added attendees only! We add and delete invitees regularly, and this missing feature was a productivity enhancer for us in keeping mailboxes cleaner. Our management gets frustrated if they receive multiple updates. Thank you.

Outlook 2016 does not have the option "send updates only to added or deleted attendees." Please add this function back it is causing way too much added work and unnecessary email notifications/updates. Every time you add or remove an attendee it sends a updated invite to all the attendees. It's too confusing.

I have the same issue - how do I get the pop-up to return allowing me to send updates only to added or deleted attendees?

Have you tried removing the 'Request Response' under response options - I did this and the pop-up appeared

These instructions are garbage. Changes the meeting time and date too! Also, there is no option to send only to new attendee after you press send, it just sends to everyone. So I sent everyone out an invite that had switched to the wrong date and time without me touching those fields and I then had to change it back. Very annoying.

Sounds like user error. I use this tool all on a daily basis and it doesn't change the date/time.

I wonder, if I use Distribution Group from Active Directory list (let's call it MeetingGroup), will it be considered as a single attendee or will Outlook think of each user of MeetingGroup as an individual and check if he's suitable for update?

this is shit, it cancelled the meeting with the original attendees' calendar, now i looked very stupid

That's because you removed the other people from the "To" field by either deleting them, or unchecking them from the scheduling assistant. You have to leave them all there.

I tried this and yes it only send the update to the new recipient but it cancelled the meeting in the original attendees' calendar which is not what I wanted it to do.

I add a new recipient but only get: save changes and send update, save changes and don't send, and don't save changes.
No option to send only to added/deleted attendees.

I had the same two options. Eventually I decided it was better to send to everyone than to not save changes. After the first choice it presented a second choice to send to everyone or only new/deleted attendees.

How to send meeting update to one (new) attendee only in Outlook?
