This didn't work for me at first either. I was trying to copy and paste. But you don't copy anything. You just select the values that you want to copy - don't actually copy them and then click over to where you want them to be pasted to and click Paste Visible and then tell it what range you want it to be pasted into and and click ok. No copy paste required.
